I moved a little bit and started focusing less on spots under large trees and more in the dune grass.

I stopped looking in the spot i was at and started to move more into the dunes where I found these...

What feature of these is distinguishing them for you guys?

By cap texture what exactly do you mean?

There are a variety of different textures on the Cortinarius caps I've  found

Cortinarius caps are fuzzy/hairy, Psilocybe are very smooth and shiny.

Sort of unless they dry out.



The caps are straw colored when dried (left) but shiny orange/caramel when they are moist.
