So the mega grow kit. I know what most people think of companies and their grow kits, but I was searching for a post about beating the price with items (possibly far superior) bought separately online, say amazon.
Anyone care to put together a parts list like theirs and try ?
Thanks this site looks great!

Use the money on a PC and some jars. These kits are bullshit obviously.

what are your guys recommendation on the PF tek (SGFC) method and automated hydration/moisture? One thing I will not be able to do is spray it down 4-5 times a day (I work 10 hour days). With this limitation would you guys suggest I go the monotub route? or is there a suggested method to automating moisture while keeping it as sterile as possible?

the SGFC is automated, way more automated than most automated setups.
if you have time to brush your teeth twice a day you have time for a SGFC. besides you can leave them completely alone for days no problem it's just not as ideal. sounds like you didn't really read too much about it.
wake up, get home, before bed. that is if it even needs 3 mistings that day.

So I am pretty sure the BRF tek grow is the route I will take to begin this hobby.
Is that video collection by RR worth getting? http://www.mushroomvideos.com/

If you are even semi-serious about getting into growing any mushrooms as a hobby or professionally, then yes buy RR's DVD.
That kit you linked is trash.
