Are they quart sized jars? Usually best to drop a few more wedges to speed things up a bit. But you can always do an early shake

I'd like to think a good idea would be to inoculate say a pint or half pint jar, let them colonize, and use those as masters for quart jars.
Anyone do this?

I'm talking an agar wedge. I'd think a pinky nail size piece of myc would take forever to colonize a quart jar.

I do the inside circle of one plate (80% of it) to one jar (cubes) or two jars (edibles) Quart jars that is. Then each quart jar goes to one bag (cubes) or two or three bags (edibles)

I've thought about it only because I use all my quart jars for spawn. I could colonize half pints along with my quart jars for a G2G immediately after spawning.
But if you've got enough quart jars for masters as well then why wouldn't you want more grain to transfer? I'd say use quarts fo sho
