I've been trying to figure out what these are, i know they are psilocybe and i had first thought they were allennii but they look nothing like the ones i've seen.

I agree these are a tad different than most allenii I've seen.  There is another thread with pics a pic very similar to yours and a few people identified them as allenii.

Edit:  I didn't notice it at first, but some of the mushrooms in your picture have an annulus and others don't.  Where did you find these suckers?

I would agree on that but there are allenii growing two feet away that bears no resemblance to them. all the allenii in that spot have no nipple but the ones pictured all have prominent nipples (heh) the nipples are dark, they also bruise very lightly compared to the allenii, which bruise heavily all down the stem and cap, the stems on these turn a black/reddish color with hints of blue here and there.

I would really love to know what species this is

I'm gunna guess P. stuntzii, though they look totally different from a patch I know of.

I would be (very tentatively) inclined to agree based on the stem coloration, among other things.

Odds are that they are Psilocybe allenii that don't have a lot of substrate left and are pushing up small fruits.

Psilocybe stuntzii is very rare in your area if it occurs at all, and you are too far south for some of the other suspects like P. cyanofibrillosa.

The fact that you have P. allenii growing two feet away increases the probability that these are P. allenii.

A few seconds in the microscope would confirm if they are in the P. cyanescens group or some other part of Psilocybe.  The microscopic features are a lot less variable than the macromorphology, which changes with weather, substrate and temperature.
