Habitat: same habitat as semilanceata (ca. 20m next to them)
Gills: see pictures Spores: dark brownish purple (bit darker than semis)
Stem: Cap: ....see pictures
Bruising: very little blue bruising at the stem base almost not noticeable
Hi everybody,
this is my first post here and my english is very 'rudimentary' so please be gentle (or don't ).
I found those shrooms on a habitat where I usually harvest my liberty caps for the last 10 years. But unlike the libs, these grew directly out of old horse dung as you can see in the pics.
The last pictures shows some of the unknown mushrooms compared to some usual and some big unusual (flat-headed + bell-headed) semilanceata/strictipes.
Never seen those dung-shrooms before. They look a little bit like deconica merdaria to me, but otherwise they are totally different.
What do you think? Should I eat those little UFOs?

Psilocybe fimetaria is likely - but microscopy is probably needed to be sure.

Shouldn't P. fimetaria have acute umbos?
It is a very interesting find. I think they somewhat resembles my Psilocybe medullosa, but the habitat is wrong (unless there's some wood under the grass).

Thank you.
I think it's something between D. coprophila, D. merdaria / merdicola and Ps. fimetaria, but it hasn't that prominent nipple of fimetaria. The "fibrous" stem looks indeed similar to Ps. inquilina, but the habitat is wrong.
Maybe I try to cultivate them on 'clean' horse dung in future and do furter 'research'.
For now I do some research with my opulent lib-harvest first

I don't really know what it should look like, and I don't really trust the available fimetaria pics to be ID'd correctly. It's a name from Scotland, and the holotype was collected from horse dung. Wikipedia says that it could have or lack an umbo.
I think I have some photos and DNA sequences of it from France, but I need to check the microscopy to make sure it matches.
