I can't say. But I can say he doesn't show love to everyone. If you are better looking than him or taller than him (he is not tall) or have a band, he is intimidated by you and is rude to you. He's in it for the pussy. But, meh, aren't we all.

When I was a foolish kid I thought it would be cool to be a musician to meet girls. Now that is just a possible bonus to doing something I love.

Yeah a hypocrite is definitely a better term then whatever I said  Like I said Moonshoe it seems pretty common but that doesn't make it cool

Well, I don't expect musicians to necessarily be saints. If he isn't a complete monster and he makes genuinely good music, I don't really concern myself beyond that.

Ok here is an example.

Some musicians are so humble/ friendly that it comes across in their playing very clearly.

People like Nahko make music about being humble/ friendly but then proceed to be assholes who just want to make money and get laid...

I am not trying to say that is for sure the case with him that is just what I have heard and the vibe I get from a lot of those style musicians.

Yeah I can see how that isn't ideal for sure, but unless someone has a specific story about something he did wrong, it all seems too vague and unsubstantiated to mean much to the average fan of the music.

I am not trying to turn you off him, just sharing what I have heard. If people get something positive out of his music then that is great I guess.

Never listened to much Tycho but that reminds me of another good addition:

Nujabes - Luv(sic) [ft. Shing02] ALL PARTS (1-6)

I am not big on rap these days at all really but this is a very epic and beautiful tune with an intense story behind it.

Nujabes (the producer) died before it was completed and his friend Shing02 finished the last 2-3 parts with beats he had made before passing I believe

Here is my second favorite Nujabes tune:

Nujabes - Aruarian Dance

Simon and Garfunkel makes some of the most moving music I have ever heard.

Bridge over troubled water

A poem on the underground wall (one of my favorites)

Real poetry in music is a dead art

I wouldn't go that far, it is just much much much more rare sadly. If your talking mainstream stuff only then yeah it pretty much is dead

Ya I am mostly talking mainstream stuff.

Yes there are diamonds in the rough that is popular music today, as there
are many newer bands that I like a lot.

I shouldn't say dead, instead I should have said dying. Still though,
Simon and Garfunkel just speaks straight to my soul sometimes. Really
lifts my spirits when I'm down.

I honestly think that music alone can get you legitimately high. I get
some intense euphoria and chills when listening to some music.

Music can definitely be "psychoactive" to varying degrees. Really intense prog rock/ jazz is very mentally stimulating and can facilitate some deep thought IME.

Live shows often put me in a trance though I am usually at least very very baked
