How it should be is how the admins decide it should be. This is their baby.
-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

And yet... it's still how it should be.
You can discuss anything in a Pub.
-------------------- You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. Instead of knocking political threads elsewhere, I think condensing threads of similar topic when they become too numerous, or even just straight up deleting some page one threads with the same content as other threads, would be more beneficial overall.

Or even better... If one does not like them, one need not read them. Seems like a better way rather than take them away from those that enjoy them.

5 threads on the same exact subject or event floods the front page and kills discussion on other topics though.

No, because the uninteresting ones slip off the front page soon enough. Most of the election threads will last a few days and then thin out.

Then it hurts nothing to delete or condense them.

It hurts nothing to leave them. It makes those that start them and participate in them unhappy if they're deleted.
Better they die a natural death.

Number two, those political threads do get huge viewership relative to other threads, one of the goals of the site is to have increased traffic.
Number three, we have two Mods which are active participants in the majority of those threads.
I've seen prisoner move threads from the pub to the conspiracy theory ... most of these threads were not conspiracy but simple didn't follow the establishment views . You can have political threads in the pub which is against the rules I have no problem but don't be moving other threads and leaving the political garbage to stay when is breaking the rules just as much. I knew you would defend it , typical qman

it's still idiotic, and i will continue to mock people whom partake if they say something stupid.
Donald Trump needs to be in office for awhile, then...see where things go from there.
