I know this is "morally incorrect" , but regardless wouldn't it be fascinating if idk like 50 wild animals in the Africa or even amazon were captured given acid, and had cameras mounted , it would be pretty damn interesting to see what would happen.
I'd imagine they all trip the fuck out and start attacking other animals.
but what if an elephant would be given acid? They have huge brains I wonder how it would affect them.
What do you think would happen and how certain animals would react , like hippos

During research on LSD and model psychosis, they gave an Elephant an accidental dose of an anti-psychotic (that was meant to be the LSD).
The elephant ran around roaring and then collapsed. It died shortly after.
That's why LSD is illegal.

LSD is illegal because the man doesn't want people to wake up.

Depends on the species. Rats, for example, you'd be hard pressed to even tell they're on acid.

It would be interesting to try trials on cephalopods like squid with complex neural networks.

I can imagine them flopping around like they're faking a grand MAL seizure, or like those wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tubemen.

Yeah cephalopods, marine mamals and primates. A whole group of them. Give them psilocin or LSD every month. See what they do.

It's not really ethical to give animals powerful psychedelic drugs that are too incomprehensible to understand.
When you think about it, if somebody dosed you with LSD for your very first time without a way to communicate to you what you were about to experience or that what you're feeling is normal, you'd probably have a pretty nightmarish experience.
Furthermore, the LSD molecule is specifically designed for humans. It fits into the receptor like a key into a lock. With animal brains, this dynamic is quire different. It takes larger doses of LSD in animals to achieve comparable effects. The fact that humans are remarkably sensitive to this drug that they themselves invented would seem to indicate that LSD is meant for humans....not animals.
LSD taught me that animals are just as human as you or I, so I stopped eating animals because I am you and you are me and we are one, and that applies from the largest whales and elephants, to the smallest bees and insects. We're all one universal organism experiencing consciousness through different facets.
I always try to be nice to animals because if I'm reincarnated as one, I don't want to end up as a chicken in a Tyson factory farm.

Have you guys never seen that old vid of a cat on LSD? Poor thing looks like it's having an absolutely terrible time:
(I've spoilered it as if you don't like seeing animals suffer, then I don't advise watching this. I hate seeing it, in fact I'm not gonna watch it again, but it gives some idea of how terrible it might be to dose an animal)

Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

thanks for posting that video JSB, I was gonna go look for it myself. Poor kitty.
I love cats and watching that one suffer through something that humans usually consider intensely enjoyable sums up everything about why it would be so fucked up to dose an animal.

My dog, a pit we used to have(rip), ate mescaline once after i puked it up and she ended up trippin with me..
at first she seemed very paranoid, she'd stay very close to me, almost attached to my leg, cuz i guess she felt safe around me, she also seemed more human, as in more aware, more sophisticated..
eventually she got over her paranoia and started wandering around the yard smelling stuff.. at some point during the trip i could've sworn she teleported, one minute she's next me and the next thing u know she is on the other end of the yard looking as confused as i was, as if to say "how the fuck did i get here?..", at that exact moment me and my other dog, who was sitting up next to me, a cockerspaniel, who wasn't trippin btw, turned and looked at each other, almost as if we were both thinking the same thing like "how'd she get there so fast"..
that shit was priceless..
