Young caps orangish/brown with no universal veil

Spore print color:
Black

Other information:
No particular scent, temperatures varying from 21-24C, found in a valley

Looks promising, check the pileipellis under a microscope for long thick walled fulvous setae.

Unfortunately I do not own a microscope so I had to try and ID macro-style

I saved the cap though for my collection and marked it's location

Thank you :super:

You do not require high magnification to see the setae, 100x - 400x should be enough. Although spore microscopy will require a 100x immersion oil objective (10x eye piece x 100x object = 1000x magnification).

When saving specimens its good to record these details:

Location
Date
Habitat
Collector
Additional notes as smell, taste and anything else that you will not be able to observe with dried specimens.

That is exactly what I do :shineon:

I have a small log book which I note that type of information down and I also love to carry these charts with me to add with my collection

I have one of these which sometimes I keep on hand only x60 though
