My first fruit opened

My first fruit opened after 25 days in the chamber, (it's kinda cool in the house). GT are stubbier and a different cap shape/color than I would have thought, and it looks like this will be a common theme for the rest of the batch.
Constructive criticism? Suggestions? Room for improvement? Thanks!

I will say congrats, you at least have some shrooms, better than not having any.

Yeah, it's such a small container that a lot of mist inevitably gets on the walls, but as I learned from earlier posts, I've got a heavy trigger finger and need to lay off. Anyway, thanks. More grew and opened while I was away today and so I have a handful more now. Time to read up on preparing for multiple flushes and what-not.

Drying these in the food dehydrator now.
I cut the tops off 3 and placed them under a lrg cup on white paper to make some prints. No plans to save the spores for future work - just making some memories Thanks again guys for coaching me thru this.

WTF says:
Should of ate all of them on the spot. Dry fruits should be brewed in tea IMO.

I've picked a bunch more and cut off all my blobs for drying now too. Maybe I'll try a tea recipe, but I'd like to score a scale to help me decide what to take first. A month or so ago I went and saw 2001 in 70mm and ate some dried ones w/ my popcorn. Went over really well

Welp, dried and weighed everything from my first grow's first flush - 11.19 grams. I'm not a real experienced shroomer. Should I take suggestions for what to do w/ this bounty here, or take it to another forum? I don't wanna cause any brain damage!

Brain damage? These mushrooms grow brain cells. So, I dunno. 11.19g wet? that's a baby dose, honestly.

Those mushies sure look awfully wet, they are being overmisted.

It's a turn of phrase. But grow brain cells??? If that were the case this forum should look like a very different place. But I digress. DRIED there are 11.19g.

well, they do. There are a few studies done in rats. Here's an article I grabbed somewhat randomly, but is more and more info about them for PTSD and depression too. http://reset.me/study/study-psilocybin-mushrooms-stimulate-growth-of-new-brain-cells/

It's apparent on here that many, many people haven't learned what the mushrooms have to teach us. Don't let it discourage you.
On a side note, you should take half of that, in the dark, and alone buckle up!

I read the article and looked at the journal that published the paper. I am reading the actual paper now, (unfortunately I cannot share my access to it), and it seems like a lot of the data is "massaged" if you know what I mean. I am skeptical. There isn't a very good way to sort of grade how good a paper/journal might be regarded that I know of, but I can see that the journal as a whole, "Experimental Brain Research," has an Impact Factor of 2.057, which is kinda low. The paper is doing better though, but I'm not super convinced by it yet. Its abstract, I think, is purposefully confusing and vague. You can read it yourself here, http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs00221-013-3579-0.

Thank you for the link, I was having trouble finding the actual paper. I read about some of the tests though, and I did find some truth in it. I can understand you sentiment about massaged data, it's far too common in scientific circles simply because of how they're funded, typically. However, I do have my own experience, and many others have theirs.
I've found these mushrooms to help me immensely. I've grown to have great respect for them, so I don't trip as often as I did when I began this journey (3x a week or sometimes more.) But when I do, it's always a very magical and healing experience. I'll also take a microdose every few days when I'm feeling down, and it helps me bounce back. These days I only do the big doses once a month or every other month.
Fungi are really incredible. Hericium is being tested for Alzheimer's disease because it regenerates nerve tissue. I think in the case of psilocybin, a lot of people take doses that are too small to be enlightening. They stick at the having fun stage, instead of going deep. Take a good amount in the dark--eat until you're full, or brew a tea with a good 5g in it. You'll likely get mentally smacked around a bit, come to terms with some things, know what you must do later, then feel the warmth and love of the mush.
happy travels

ps. congrats on your first fruits. The typical right of passage recommended is to eat them all fresh with your first crops, but anyways. It's a great feeling, enjoy it.

Thanks for the congrats. The timing to eat fresh was poor, and I am still holding some reservations. I've tripped maybe 10x over the last decade+, all of which have been great but on the milder side of things. I don't think I've ever gone past "level 3." Also, I will pm you a pdf of that paper, dankington.
