Mushroom ID? Possibly Parasola plicatilis!
    #23790953 - 11/01/16 10:48 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

So I think the magic mushroom season is coming to a close now, and whilst my first attempts to find some have been unsuccessful, I'd still like to build up some knowledge for next year! (I've realised I think I've seen quite a few P.cincs on the hunt for libs but not known, I'm kicking myself!)

There are a fair few of these growing in a park near me and I wanted to confirm their species!

The reason I ask this is because of course I want to be as safe as possible - if someone were to eat these, psychoactive or not, would they suffer any ill effects?

Habitat:
South of England, large park

Gills:
Grey!

Stem:
Thin (some variation) and quite long

Cap:
Lighter grey than the pictures show, most flat-ish but a few curve downwards

Spore print:
Sorry, currently doing that now, will post updates!

Bruising:
Not actually sure how to test bruising

Other information:

The spore print in one of the photo's is from a different mushroom, please ignore!

Looks like a mixed collection, I see Parasola and Psathyrella. Microscopy helps a lot to identify Parasola to species as sometimes you can come up with unusual names.

Do you know anything about their edibility? I.e. are they poisonous? Thank you by the way!

Not poisonous, but they're so fragile and non-substantial that there isn't really a point to collect them for the table.
