Very small waterdrops on grown mycelium
    #23788703 - 10/31/16 02:07 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

Hey guys,

I have noticed on two of my first agar plates some "water drops" on the mycelium. Not on the lid of the petri dish, directly on the mycelium. Especially there, where the mycelium seems to be very dense.

It appeared on these plates, that I inoculated 10 days ago and that seem very clean, but I did not take any transfer from them, because I choose other plates to do that. So I let these plates "grow out".

They really look like very small waterdrops, but if I shake the plate a bit, they don't move or so. They realy don't look like bacteria or mold, just like small water drops.

Is it a problem? Contamn? Bad conditions for the mycelium?

Here's a picture.

Regards

Read about it a bit, can I do something against it? If I understood correctly, it's a disease affecting grown mushrooms.
Could it also affect mycelium?

Will it stpread out? And if it doesn't spread out, is it something else then?
