Mushrooms ID request
    #23788177 - 10/31/16 10:53 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Hello! new to the forum, looking for a mushroom ID.
Found these in my garden, they look a bit weathered down but some are still small and coming out. A friend is keen for us to try this shrooms as they might be "magical" but hesitant whether it's safe. Gave it a look up and they seem to look a like to the "Psilocybe cyanescens" in some aspects but hard to tell as they have been damaged a bit. I want to know what type they are, whether they are safe to consume and will they get us tripping/high. additionally if they do end up being magical, whats the best/nicest way to take them? and if they are not, where can i find a good harvesting area in South-East England

if you notice in the pictures, there seems to be some small grey looking ones growing around the ones in a coral so if you could help me id those too I'd appreciate it.

Also, not sure if relevant but all these mushrooms seems to be growing in just one 5x5(meter) area and not elsewhere, including the (possible) different types

I live in the UK, Surrey to be precise. and they came out not too long ago

Thanks!

The updated pic is a lot better for helping others identify mushrooms.  Here, you're looking for blue staining in the stipe (stem), around the edges of the cap, anywhere there is bruising, etc..  The blue staining will be noticeable.  Spending a lot of time looking at pictures of confirmed finds will help you better weed out false positives.  It takes persistence.

Have you washed that? It looks like Chroogomphus rutilus but the texture is more like its glutinous relatives. The pine needles are a match.

I would need better focus on the others, possibly Hypholoma sp.

Nothing active.
