soaking filter disks?

I saw this on an old post about using disks after contamination.
"I soak synthetic filter disks in a ten percent bleach solution for fifteen minutes before using. It's probably not necessary though since they'll be pc'd anyway on the next cycle. Bleach doesn't hurt them. I have hundreds of synthetic filter disks that are well over ten years old and have yet to have a single one fail." RR
Has anyone tried this or is it unnecessary? Would you let them air dry overnight or just use um immediately after the soak?

you know, I started to do this based on your recommendation. I have a bunch of CFDs too though, and they take an assload to dry. Like over 24 hours. Should I still pat 'em pretty dry and use them soon after?

Bleach can attack metal, so if you have discs siliconed onto lids with drilled out holes be careful, strong bleach can have them rusting remarkably fast, especially as the cut lids will have exposed metal.

I would let those dry completely. Use a hair dryer or something to speed it up

I really thought that snail avatar suited you azur. Couldn't tell you why..
Might as well be careful with bleaching but I've never done it, seems unnecessary.

I forgot about the snail. I think it's time to change the avatar for a bit. I was thinking and infected penis would be great

Patting it semi dry must be key that'd be awful to have bleach drip down through the GE hole on the lid
