 Overdose?

This week is mid-terms, and I've had a shitload of work to do, so I couldn't afford to get many hours of sleep if I wanted to stay on top of things. So I took dexedrine, the amphetamine medication I'm prescribed in an unprescribed manner by doing 2 or 3 of them a night this week, in order to get my work and studying done before class. Well, last night was my 4th sleepless night from dexedrine, and I just got done puking for an hour. Did I overdose? Do I need to go to the hospital now or something?

to be honest i don't know the answer to your question. wish i could..
but I have never thrown up using meth and staying 4 days up+.
on the other hand my friend has. do to lack of drinking water and eating.
have you been doing both? also have u been stressin out lately because of all this work? stressin and no sleep fucks your body up.
anyways if things get worse seek a doctor :P

you need sleep!
also on amphetamines your appetite decreases but still you have to try to eat normal. I don't know about the dosages/overdose etc. But what I know is you shouldn't do that so many days in a row and get a few good nights of sleep and eat that breakfast!

I wouldnt call that a overdose, more of a sleep underdose.
speed definately wares you down over time.
you will be fine, eat when you can and go to sleep when you get tired.
If you get really scared to what you got to do thouh 
peace and shroomyness

Here's why I think it was an overdose. From Erowid:

Individual patient response to amphetamines varies widely. While toxic symptoms occasionally occur as an idiosyncracy at dosaes as low as 2mg, they are rare with doses of less than 15mg; 30mg can produce severe reactions, yet does of 400 to 500mg are not necessarily fatal. In rats, the oral LD50 of dextroamphetamine sulfate is 96.8 mg/kg.
Symptoms: Manifestations of acute overdosage with amphetamines include restlessness, tremor, hyperreflexia, rapid respiration, confusion, assultiveness, hallucinations, panic states, hyperpyrexia, and rhabdomolysis.
Fatigue and depression usually follwo the central stimulation.
Cardiovascular effects include arrhythmias, hypertension or hypotension, and circulatory collapse.
Gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps. Fatal poisoning is usually preceded by convulsions and coma.
Along with vomiting, I was experiencing a high heart rate, hallucinations, and abdominal cramps. But I'm better now. I just got some sleep, and even though I missed my mid-term today, it just feels good to have my health.

I doubt you overdosed silversoul! You are probably just feeling the effects of several sleepless days compounded with low nutrient levels and amphetamine intake.
I quite often get sick when using stimulants, especially amphetamines. I dunno though...looks like some of us just have a weak stumach for stims. 
Chill out on the dex and get a few nights of good sleep. Make sure you eat a few healthy meals, too!

I used to OD like that all the time off speed, coke as well..I remember sitting in my apartment often on day 3or4-lights off-tv on-pack a smokes beer and a crack sheet at hand-
people would come and go in fast motion.. ocassionally saying are you Ok?
*twitch* *twitch* I would look at them..
I was just trying to keep my heart from exploding.

what size where the pills that you took? its doubtful that you overdosed, and if you did, I still wouldnt worry too much as the ld50 is ~200mg/kg. So you should be good. straight outta the merck index(the info about the ld50).

I don't know if this is of any help, but remington's pharmaceutical science book says that doses of 50mg daily have been used quite commononly to treat narcolepsy.

They were 10mg pills. What I experienced seems to fit the Erowid description of an overdose. Obviously it wasn't a lethal dose, but it was enough to make me violently ill. Now that I think about it, along with the 2 or 3 I took each night, I was also taking 1 or 2 in the daytime, so it seems to add up, considering that amphetamines stay in the system for 3 days.

you should be fine then, seeing that 50mg doses were given daily. You may have some of those symptoms from lack of sleep, but Im not sure. Ill look at my pharm books some more, and see if I can find anything else

Okay, in my pharm book it says that people have often abused several grams daily of amphetamines, and you haven't even taken 1/20th of that. I would expect a very long period of deep sleep though, but if you really feel that you overdosed then you might want to call a poison control center.
