First haul of Ps. Semilanceata ever. I hope.

Today I took a hike through the pastures and meadows. It's the third year in a row that I'm hunting libs, but without any results until now. Today I wasn't really hunting though, just keeping an eye out.
You know that cliche, where stuff only turns up when you don't look for it? Well, I pass a fence, enter a pasture. Tall and short grass, plenty of moisture. I look around and find these little buggers. I know they won't win any beauty pageants anymore.. The way home was quite rough for them, since I wasn't really counting of finding any and had to make do with what I had. But I do believe these are libs, no? The discoloration when wet, the faint nipple on some, the size, the general shape.. They're not exactly numerous yet, but at least I now know where to find some now! Looking back, I think I rejected 3 perfectly good libs at first, not believing they were indeed what I was looking for.

And then there's this little lost fellow. He was hiding in the woods next to the pasture I went to. It was actually what tipped me off. At first I was doubtful if it was a lib, but it really looks like it.

There are a couple in those pictures that I think might be liberty caps. There are also few that definitely are not. It looks like you have a mixed collection there.
Given the poor picture quality (lighting is real bad), and the sad condition of the mushrooms (they sure look beat up!) I'm not comfortable giving a solid ID on this request.
Go back and get some clear pictures of the mushrooms in their habitat, before they get crushed and battered. Then we can tell you if you have actually found what your looking for.

I concur. There are 4 or 5 liberty caps there, but better pictures would suffice.

Thanks for the advice. I will be returning to that pasture somewhere next week, I think. Temperatures will stay right until then, but there's also some rainfall predicted. That never did a lib cap any harm.
I can get some clearer pictures tomorrow. Right now it's dark here and my camera doesn't do too well in the dark, I'm afraid. I should note that they are already drying. I'd say they very dry already, even.
