Any gourmet growers doing actives too?

Hey guys, me again. Anyone willing to try my new TGF Tek on an active? It should work perfectly with the Nepal Chitwan strain.
I would like to see how universal it works out.
Thanks, Ferather.

how do you sterilize your substrate? a microwave isnt going to cut it.
mushrooms are not plants. miracle grow??
ps ...also read the rules.. you kinda broke one..

also vendors description... 'the best substrate used is sterilized compost'

You don't know enough about the composition to make that judgment. Secondly the guide states use of other methods to cook.
Which means you did not read everything.

I loled, so your saying mushrooms don't need nitrates and nutrients. Sorry again you have not done your reading or research.
I suggest a dive through my pocket guide. Then read about the additives used.
Then make judgement calls.
Thanks, Ferather.

Hey mushboy, you might look at what Ferather has done before slamming the door like that. You might learn something.

I'll give it a shot. I've got cube growing on the modified WL Tek. Growing might be a strong term...subsisting might be more accurate. I just shook it yesterday and will snap a pic when it recovers. This tek sounds like it might work better.

No I don't grow actives, and I also don't want to, Its a simple test. The side bonus is the antibacterial effects of tea.
In terms of how antibacterial is tea:
Catechins, Tannins, Theaflavins, Theanine.
Cubs can grow in enriched soil. Tea is expensive though.
Composition analysis of raw tea leaves:

Dry rye nutrition, change to 100g. Tea is more potent, no starch.
Golden oyster: Left, my old WL tek. Right, the new starch free T-Tek.

Visibly BE has increased by a large factor.

Here is another tek to test, being developed by myself and katbusa. Give this a good read, if it works, you can isolate.
Bad vendor culture, fully cleaned.

Why do you think this tek would favor one specific cube variety over all the other cubes?

Hmmm, because it fruits in autumn, when leaves fall, and the soil gets enriched. Tea leaves, ahem, are leaves, and enrich the substrate.
Thus very natural for this strain.

Ha! I just made some up the other day. Gonna use it to clean up some recent germinations from syringe. Also want to see how it performs in general...have a few different species plated on it.
