Chinese traditional medicine gave rise to a nobel prize last year but most of it is quackery. They've been at it for thousands of years, they have to get some things right statistically speaking.

Jeez for $100 you had better gotten like 100 quarts of the stuff... you probably could have made the same yourself for less than $10.

Herbs are really medicines though, if you think about it. I'm sure a lot are not effective, but some most definitely are powerful medicines.

I think it was something like a 50 ounce pouch. I was thinking maybe if the chicken or cow cooked itself in a freak chicken suicide accident those would be the chickens they use in 100$ 50 ounce gelatin pouch. That's the only "fresh bone broth" on Amazon . I actually couldn't find the link again but I obviously looked it up for this and was like "fuck that" expensive dinner for two is not often more then 100-200$.

50 ounces is really not that much. For $100?! Get the fuck outta here...

I think I've seen advertisements for what you're talking about. Are you referring to Osso bone broth by chance? It comes in a pouch...

20 ounces is sold for $12 on their website though, which is a lot more reasonable.

I love some chowder, when its spiced right and comes with some nice little crackers it's so damn good :awesomenod:

Speaking of I just made an interesting potato/ corn/ squash chowder of sorts that is delicious :drooling:

Used some purple sweet potatoes and a medium sized delicata squash mainly + some other random veggies and meat.

Damn I love soup, was feeling pretty sick/ exhausted for a week or so and started drinking as much soup as I could once my stomach settled.

Definitely save all those bones and make stock out of those bones. The bones are really precious, don't throw them away!

Can you tell me how to make stock out of bones in a sentence or two?

It's on page two. Take a huge pot of water, like a big stock pot, put your bones in there, and fill it with a lot of water (the water will reduce over time).

Boil on high, once it's boiling for a few minutes turn it to medium or medium-low until it's simmering for at least 3 hours. (Put the lid on it but leave it open a crack so the heat vapor can escape.)

Check up on the soup every 30 minutes to make sure there's enough water, if the water completely evaporates it'll ruin your soup and burn what's inside. When the soup is a creamy white color, you know it's finished, and then you can add salt at the end.

Do you guys add anything else to nyour stock while you're making it?  I like to chop up an onion and throw in some garlic, because after many many hours the aromatics are barely recognizable, they blend in w/ the rest of the stock.  (However this is if I'm making a chicken noodle soup stock, in which case I love extremely rich broth/stocks).

Just whipped up this broccoli and cheese soup tonight, and it was pretty tasty.  I ended up adding an extra cup of vegetable stock and veggies to add a bit more overall.
