Burnt Psilocybe Strictipes?
    #23782598 - 10/29/16 01:00 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Growing out from dung. I've seen them at this spot several times and I always thought they could be p strictipes but just today I decided to take some picture.

What is with the burn bit at the top of one? Is this anything natural or could some idiot burn them with a lighter?

There not burnt. Those are the mushrooms spores being deposited on the mushroom underneath it.Not sure what kind of mushroom but they are actives and quite beautiful!!

I think you are correct about the species.

At first I thought Deconica, but then I noticed some bluing around the rim of the cap on one of them.

A single specimen can also eject spores so that they will land on its own cap if there is not much wind. They are forcefully discharged at such velocities that they can end up doing as show in the op's photos. Or it could be as you said and they are were left by another nearby specimen.

I think they are Deconica and the "Bluing" around the cap are just spores.

Probably right. Habitat seems more consistent.
