Ok Guys Halloween is almost here and my wife and I are planning to watch our annual scary movies.
No doubt others will be watching horror movies as well.
So lets have a thread listing our recommendations for scary halloween movies.
For myself, I only watch horror movies about something supernatural such as ghosts, demons, monsters etc. I don't watch anything that is just about human evil like serial killers and stuff. That doesn't interest me and doesn't capture the halloween theme IMO.
So what are you favorite halloween appropriate supernatural scary movies?
So far I am planning on checking out "The Witch" and "the Wailing".
Ideally, post not only the name of the movie but a synopsis and / or review and a link to a streaming copy.
The Wailing:
http://kissasian.com/Drama/The-Wailing/Movie?id=29327&s=stream
"The Wailing (Hangul: 곡성; hanja: 哭聲; RR: Gokseong) is 2016 South Korean horror thriller film directed by Na Hong-jin about a policeman who teams up with shaman and a mysterious woman to investigate mysterious killings and illnesses."
"The Wailing received widespread critical acclaim. On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a "certfied fresh" 98% approval rating and a rating average score of 8.1/10, based on 41 reviews. On review aggregator website Metacritic, the film has an average rating of 81/100 based on 15 critics, indicating "universal acclaim". Jada Yuan of Vulture.com described the film as "operating on a level that makes most American cinema seem clunky and unimaginative". David Ehrlich of IndieWire said the film was an "epic Korean horror movie too crazy for its own good"."
The Witch:
http://solarmovie.sc/movie/the-witch-10848/166235-8/watching.html
"A family in 1630s New England is torn apart by the forces of witchcraft, black magic and possession. "
"The Witch received critical acclaim. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a "Certified Fresh" rating of 91%, based on 259 reviews, with an average rating of 7.8/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "As thought-provoking as it is visually compelling, The Witch delivers a deeply unsettling exercise in slow-building horror that suggests great things for debuting writer-director Robert Eggers."[21] Metacritic reports a score of 83 out of 100, based on 46 critics, indicating "universal acclaim"."

I enjoyed the witch.
It is tradition for me to watch evil dead 1&2 every Halloween.

The Shining (Recut) provides a reimagining of Kubrick's 1980 Classic we all know and love, which was originally an adaptation of Stephen King's 1977 novel of the same name.

Yeah, the thing about that though is that it doesn't really exist??
lol sorry, Moon. My suggestion is the "it's so classic, it's cliche," The Shining.
I just wanted to throw it at ya in a fun way.

Watched The Thinning last night, it's about population control, where Texas kills off all the kids that score lowest on tests, scary part about it is they make sure you know the main bad guy's name,'MASON KING' .
