Interesting. More signs of a re-election for Bush if they can get the word out.

Some will whine because of the source.  But maybe they'll actually use facts instead of shooting the messenger.   There's always a chance.

Do you think that the gains achieved through an increase in jobs will offset the losses for lying/incompetence?

They only did a "different" style/kind of job poll and came up with different figures. Then they compared the new style figures to the old style poll method and say its newly created jobs. Those jobs were there the whole time, just not counted. Thats why its not on the front page news. Its crap used to snare in the dorks.

Do you think you'll ever be able to prove he lied rather than merely repeating it over and over?

Right here....

And yes, lies can be difficult to prove, but far too easy to claim.

I hear out manufacturing base is up too..

Here was my favorite part of the article:

The number of American workers is at an all-time high of 138.5 million, a level never before attained in U.S. history.

Did you guys also know that we have an all time high dry cleaners and supermarkets?

Do dry cleaners, supermarkets, and jobs have a direct correlation to eachother???

No! We've just got more people than ever before in US history. So of course we have more jobs, supermarkets, and dry cleaners....

That' s why you don't pay attention strictly to the number, like "2.3 million jobs lost", but put them into perspective.

Quote:

The 5.6 percent unemployment rate is the lowest in two years and below the average of the 1980s (7.3 percent) and '90s (5.8 percent), and still continues to drop.

More people than ever are also entering the workforce for the first time.

How about syria? ALthough I can't prove that, you can't prove that they never existed. I think it would be more logical to think that they did exist seeing as he had them, and has used them in the past.

how does the 'lower' unemployment figure square
with all the people who are no longer eligible to
collect unemployment because they've been out of
work for so long?

do those people falling out of eligibility get counted
as 'returning to the workforce' and a reduction in those
considered unemployed?

(not necessarily directed at you, just a general question
for anyone who's versed in how they account for these
things)

Well to quote your good self:

Isnt that telling lies? Or is breaking promises a more acceptable form of lying?

More acceptable? Nope. Of course how many people really swallow every campaign promise?

I don't thik anyone contests that they did exist....once upon a time, many of which have past due expiry dates and are useless now.

Its the claims of a comprehensive wmd program capable of threatening the american people thats most amusing....
