Inoculation and Colonization Question

Hey all. Thanks for being awesome.
So I am about to inoculate 18 jars with 3 different strains from 3 different syringes. When I put the jars with BRF in the PC, I cover with masking tape. I stopped covering with foil as I read it was unnecessary.
About to inoculate. In my first two batches, I did replace with foil and left the jars in a closed plastic container. Then I was told to recover is no good and I don't need to cover the top of the container that holds all the jars. Now I just read that I should take the tape off to inoculate then put on new tape after inoculating and leaving it on throughout colonization.
3 questions...
1. Should I be covering the holes with masking tape when putting in the PC? 2. After inoculating, should I cover them? If so foil them loosely or tape? 3. After putting all the jars in the plastic container, do I need to put the lid on or just leave opened?
Thanks in Advance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I also started with the Midwest Grow Kit. They had me inoculating on the opened oven door while the oven is set to 250. Is this necessary? Seems everything in their how to grow pdf has been wrong.

Foil is your friend, use it. Where are you getting this info lol it sucks.
That midwest oven tek is crazy too, use a SAB.
And you should use polyfill lids next time, just drill or cut a hole in the center of your lid about a 1/4 inch big and stuff tightly.
remove lid and drop an agar wedge in that bitch and close her up.
Skip the container and set the jars on a shelf to colonize.
Plus if your using a pc then learn about wild birdseed or rye instead, brf is meant for cakes and you cant shake it well like rye berries or wbs.

You been here a few months, you just noticing this? They are notorious for being hilariously impossibly wrong. Like, you have to really try in order to be that wrong.

I really don't see what the harm would be in them publishing some good directions to at least use the kit to the extent possible. but maybe they want you to be frustrated and need to order more spores from them then do it the right way

Awesome. Thanks. I knew from the first batch and jumping on this forum that they were wrong. The only thing I still used was climbing in my oven lol. Crazy. Have to make a SAB. Gonna do the next two batches with brf in jars since I have a bunch left then move to agar and birdseed or rye. Should I still use jars or move on to a more bulk method? If so, which method? Need to study up...
