Europe ID & pics
    #23780024 - 10/28/16 01:16 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Hello, so complete newbe from west europe here, I picked two mushrooms at different locations, in an area full of firs( Not sure it's the correct word, I mean Christmas trees)

The larger one was growing alone in a rotten cherry tree log, the little one was growing with a bunch of others on rotten wood planks.

Are they dangerous?

Does the smaller one exude a reddish juice if you break the stem?

If this was in North America, I'd suggest calling your mushroom Mycena haemotopus (Bleeding Mycena).  I'm not sure if this is a species that also occurs in Europe, but you might want to look it up and compare it to your mushroom.

Where do you live?  My family comes from Northern Italy...Pieomont region.

Well they are definitely Mycena. Can't help with the species.

Found those in Belgium. I just checked on wiki and they did say you can find that specie here. Took a picture of the bunch this morning, they look duller in natural light for some reasons.

Thanks for the tips guys!

M. haematopus. There are a couple of other bleeding Mycena but I think this is that.
