Putting colonising subs into fruiting conditions before 100% colonised

Ok Im asking this question all over the boards and wanted some clarity.
This is new info for me and I would like discuss why, how and what I should do with my spawned minitub if I wanted to do it
I have a mono tub lined up next
and another mini im going to slurry.
So the answers I have so far is that it helps get an early onset of pin and in this case if you then case you are in fact late casing.
Does anyone have the original thread of who came up with this. I know Eat does a late casing but never put stuff into fruiting conditions that early.
What are the pros and cons of this?

This is something that's been played around with for a very long time. I remember someone saying that no one used to tape the holes in tubs before. I don't know, because I wasn't growing tubs back then. Azur most recently made it popular again, when he made this thread.
IIRC, I think eat does fruit at spawning, but dials in the tubs tighter at first. I'll see what I find.
Benefits include shorter colonization times, quicker pins, etc. In the case of PE, it'll shave off up to a week in your times.

Eat does medium poly the entire time.
Slurry is nice because it is super fast. I mean, like lightening fast. But yields are less.

Thanks.....Wow Azur youve been busy since ive had a break. Great read and the results speak for themselves. Weird how if you take a break from reading for a while things move on so quick.
So please help me
What can I do to this tub to use the no tape method.
I was going to try micropore tape also

Can I put a coir layer over it and open it up by puttin Pore tape on the bottom holes and opening up to 5 top'ns. I only mixed it yesterday
Its a pasty mini hybrid by the way.

I wouldn't leave any holes completely open. I wouldn't case it unless it pe/ape. I don't really know anything about micropore tape..

I think this thread could really help you:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21032606/page/1/fpart/1/vc/1/nt/17
It's quite long, but there are great discussion about dialing in a mini mono, how to work with micropore tape, about casing and IIRC about your question, when to put into fruiting conditions
