Any Actives? Thank you for your time and advice
    #23778857 - 10/27/16 11:32 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Found in forests of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. mostly in decaying loga/wood/needles, or a couple which were hard to tell if feeding off the log or the natural mulch. I,ve included a few I know are unlikely, but better to ask since I am goinh back to this area. Thank you for your time.

Spore prints being made rite now

I don't think so, but spore prints will be definitive.  Some caveats: the second picture has a massive number of specimens (and species?) where we can't see the stipe or gills, which help with identification.  Also, just learning to identify the tall-skinny-pointy-tops, so I could be way off.

First Cyan (indeed first wild Psilocybe of any kind) that I ever did find! Oddly enough, she was alone, in a fairly dark coloured mix of compost and soil, where as every other cluster since was in light/alder type chips!

Lots of variety here.  Nothing active though.

Danm, spent 4 hours searching, was hoping to find at least ONE active just to encourage me. Thanks for looking anyway.

Look in city parks near river or other bodies of water. Hardwood mulch is what you're after.

So should I be focusing p. cyans? The main habitats I have are forest, a dog park with tonnes of tall grass tufts (but near several universities so well picked I imagine) beach dunes (have read conflicting opinions as to whether azure or similar beach-sand-dune-grass actives grow in Vancouver Island.) and tonnes and tonnes of varies levels of forest with rotting logs.

I found a bonanza of shrooms, but nothing active :frown:
