Hi there,
after weeks of looking at the spot where I found some liberty caps a few years ago, I decided to cross the field and bingo, the previous field was depleted but found a new, fresh field. I believe I saw horses on this field in previous years...
Habitat: open moist grassland.
Gills: Dark brown
Stem: various size and widt, but overal beige in color and somehow a light golden color. Some very dark in color (matches the cap, older ones?)
Cap: Dark brown (slimy) to beige bright beige. Niple is present, but sometimes not clearly visible.
Spore print color: /
Bruising: some have been bruised and color blue..
Location: Flanders - Belgium
Pictures or it didn't happen!

Hoping to hear from you and get a 100% confirmation that these are indeed liberty caps

Certainly wait for a TI. I think I'm seeing 2 species there.

Those aren't libs that you just posted I'm fairly certain. Not sure what they are. Maybe a TI will chime.

weight: 235 gram Still hoping for a confirmation these are 100% liberty caps. Had batches from previous years (check my photo album) and had similar looking shrooms dried and eaten. No problem, great trips

Sorry Brody, not libs. They look like a Mycena species.
