Meh. I rode horses as a kid for a long time and then suddenly developed pretty bad allergies to hay, horses, cats, eggs, milk, dust, pollen, and like 30 other things all at the same time.

Yes.  There is contradicting evidence about exposure to things and subsequent development of allergies/asthma/dermatitis.  What's more of a real risk factor for developing allergies/asthma/eczema is a family history of those.  Or if you already have one of those things, then you're more likely to get the others.

Yes, it absolutely does. When you are starving, your body starts getting rid of its most non-essential bodily functions. That's why your hair and nails get brittle and stop growing first. For women, your pussy starts drying up and loses the ability to get wet. For men, you lose the ability to sustain an erection if you're starving. It's not a mental thing, it's not about "feeling sexy" or whatever, what I'm talking about is purely a physical thing.

True.

I think this ties into what you're saying, and I am not trying to be rude around you ladies, but when I eat a lot of certain food I realize I am hornier, and my reproductive parts elongate and relax for a while, also if I have sex soon after eating a larger meal I will produce a larger amount of semen, usually when I eat a lot of meat, or high fat foods, perhaps this is related to testosterone release?  I haven't read much about it, but know high fat foods are tied to higher test levels in men, but I only read that in a handful of places so am no sage on the subject.

Ya Asthma is where a lot of my allergies came from. I grew out of the asthma can't remember the last time I used an inhaler. Usually when I get sick but that's about it.

I prefer yams myself, they're more complex and have a richer taste and are healthier for you.

I don't even think I've ever tried a yam. I love potatoes you really can't go wrong. One of my favorite food items as it's so versatile. Can never go wrong with some starch. Filling and cheap.

I eat a lot of eggs as well.

Haha I recently got back to Washington and none of my old pants fit me anymore.

A lot of restaurants mistakenly serve them as "sweet potato fries." They're the really dark looking potatoes.

Seriously, surely everybody has had sweet potato fries at some point in their life...

I usually dice the sweet potatoes and sautee them until they're crispy and brown.

Mmm, I love apples and pears. Especially stewed, with some belgian sausages and boiled potatoes, that was one of my favourite meals growing up. I don't know much about them, but there's some sausages that have just the right texture, I'm much more fond of German style like bockwurst.

Never suffered from anorexia, I'm just a boring old fatty, but when I see a fellow human being that's all skin and bones it pains me, that girl that was posted on the first page made me wince to see that. I don't care what the reason is for, I just want to feed them some stew until I'm sure something's sticking to their insides.

Seriously me too, it's an innate biological urge we have in us to want to desperately feed other people who look starving.

That's a really interesting stew though, I've never had one with fruits like apples and pears in it. Is there a name for that type of stew? Is the consistency thick like New England clam chowder, or is it more liquified like chicken noodle soup?

Anyways out of curiosity I just started reading some thinspo and pro-ana sites, these are some of the tips they dole out:

HOLY SHIT they even count calories from Tums! 5 whole calories!

Quote:

Ice or gum are good food substitutes. Celery works too if you're really hungry.

Make a list of "bad" foods. Periodically, cross one of the list and pledge to never, ever eat it again. Eventually there will be none left.

Eat in front of a mirror, naked or in underwear if possible. If you can't, carry a picture of yourself in a revealing outfit and look at it when you want to eat. When you have cravings pinch your fat and look at your problem areas, don't add to them!

When you go out, take very little money or only enough to buy whatever non-food item you plan on buying. This will make it harder to buy food on impulse.

Don't take bites, either from others' food or while cooking, as the calories add up surprisingly fast and you may not realize how much extra you're taking in.

Press on your stomach when it grumbles. TUMS also stop stomach growling and have calcium.(5 calories a piece so be careful!)

Save $1 for every meal you don't eat, then use the money to buy yourself a non-food present.

For sweet cravings, lick a chopstick and dip it into a diet Swiss Miss pack.

Friends will only get in the way. Avoid them until you reach your goals.

When you have hunger pangs, picture your stomach eating away your fat, and that what you feel is the feeling of thinness and your fat burning away.

Damn some of those are really depressing. Lick a chopstick and dip it into a diet Swiss Miss pack? Ice or gum are good food substitutes? Friends will only get in the way, avoid them?

Well there always seems to be a counter extreme to the more prominent extremes of society. In this case calorie counting and not eating enough is the pendulum of obesity and reckless eating.
