Yea specs are great but that's new. Only way to know how clogged they are is an anemometer. If you do ever plan to get one i recommend this one,

Cool ill grab one for sure, i did the bick lighter test on it and at around 3 to 4 inches from filter it almost blows my my lighter out so i hope thats a good sighn
But back to the original question if I have that in some kind of enclosure would that improve the performance and give me more sterile air to work in or would it not matter Im thinking as long as their was positive flow passing through whatever size of hood I made that everything from the opening to the filter would be 99.99% clean But as it is now i dont need more than a foot ore such, so i think its good ?

I was thinking of having one external of the grow room with a prefilter on it.. Not sure though
Prefilter all the way. If you want the expensive HEPA filter to last a lot longer then you can easily retrofit a prefilter to it. I bought some furnace filters off Amazon, cut them to my desired size and used gaffer tape to tape one to the intake. When the prefilter starts to become dirty then you swap it with a fresh one.

Like I said these have prefilters I just took off the prefilters to try and show how clean the inside was The filters i use are for allergens and dust 20X20
