So, cubes can tolerate 122f, right?
If a spore syringe is left in a car for a extended period of time during the Texas summer. Will they survive?

cubes can tolerate 122f? where you get that from?
cubes and spores are different. drying active mushrooms at 160-200 is fine. spores might degrade around 122f ??
for anyone hating on the shroomery's search feature... try google.. oh wait.. shroomery is the first link..

oh yah and this..

I used the search function.
Believe it or not, this has been asked a lot. Their has been many different answers.
There need to be a Rodger Rabbit search function or he just needs to give me his cell.

RR always has many different answers depending on how recent it is. Always look for things more recent.

Then figure out the temp of the water.
How does one Google that specific question that doesn't have a answer.

uhh just order more spores. if you leave a child/animal in a hot car they can die.
or try to germ them in a test jar/agar plate

How is it that your search function looks so neat and mine looks so shitty? I must be missing something here
Take a look at my "newer than" and "older than" buttons, it's just a mess!

I have never tested it, but will say the longer it stays at the temp the more likely it will be killed, just as we PC for different recommended amounts of time at different temps/pressures. Also if your syringe was in the shade in a bag then it would be a lot slower to heat up to the cars temperature. Even if 99% were killed off you still should have viable spores.
I have wondered about the idea of heat treating spore syringes to kill off some common airbourne contams. e.g. imagine 90% of contams that land on your prints were easily killed off if subjected to 50C for 1 hour, but it was likely to kill off only 50% of your cube spores, then it might actually be worthwhile to heat treat it as you have reduced your chance of contams, even though you have killed off some good spores.

If anyone leaves spores in a black suv during Texas summer for more than 24hrs they will die & become sterile.
They even look a bit different than fresh spores, I think.

They were never in direct sunlight. They were stored in a backpack. 100% failure rate.
