Payote looking bit ill
    #23773848 - 10/26/16 04:27 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

So I was away and my Payote was neglected and not watered.
It was ok when I got back then what seemed over night it wrinkled and got some grey patches.
I started watering and all my small ones bounced back in 3 days.
Its been two weeks and this ones still not 100s, any tips.

I think it looks a little bit lame, how about painting the boring white tufts of hair in different colors?

Or something like this

Beautiful plant. My trichs get those grey scaly spots and I have no idea what causes it, but it's nothing infectious.

Considering its 12 almost 13 years old, the only cactus in the world that does not produce thorns, is the slowest growing cactus to acquire and has the highest alkaloid base in a naturally occurring form. Also has been respected by shaman's for centuries.. Let alone I am in one of the few places you are allowed to own one.

I think you might need to get your eyes checked out.

This flower is a privilege to look at...

Where is this rubbish coming from ???  There are loads of spineless cacti - I will send you a list if you want.  And masses in my collection that are slower growing than L. williamsii - again I can send you a list with photos.

And it is spelt PEYOTE.

Maybe some mod or whatever might think this has now been long enough.

They do have juvenile spines briefly, and they aren't the slowest growing cactus
