Humidity without a guage

If a humidity guage isn't available, then is there any way to somewhat accurately tell how much humidity is in the FC? Also, what are the worst possible effect by having too little/much humidity?

A good 'eye ball' guage is looking for condensation on the inside, it should have water droplets on it

there is no true need for a gauge.
Readerror - 100% humidity can be reached without condensation. COndenstation only happens when the outside temperature is lower than the inside temperature.
If you are using perlite, just make sure its always wet. Also, make sure the terrarium is sealed tightly. If its not, you won't get the amount of RH you want.
There really isnt too high humidity. But if it gets EXTREMLY wet, your mushrooms may rot easily.
Low humidity - no/slow growth and abhorts.

ditto. you don't really need a guage, just look for water droplets on the top of your rubbie ( if that's what you are using ) or condensation on the sides of your tank or whatever. some people don't use perlite but i've always found it helps keep the moisture( humidity ) high.
