Risks with transferring to monotub.

So when I transfer my wbs jars to a monotub I obviously can't do it in my sab. But if I sterilize my workspace use gloves and a mask and turn the air off prior, what are the chances of contaminating when moving jars to tub? I had one really successful tub but everything g else since then got contamed.

There's no way to do it and not have any contams. In the tub at all.

Use a good hydrating coir tek, clean the tub before hand, and work quick and clean. If your grain is completely colonized, then you shouldn't have a problem.

Is it true mycelium forms a defense of its own?

Also I found a tek that's only coir I'll add gypsum and maybe coffee, is that media good? I used cow compost on my successful tub sterilizing it but I was told to pasteurize and I'dk if I'm comfortable trying that.

Every living creature fighting for survival has a defense of some sort. Especially in the world of molds. Mushrooms have metabolites. The typical CVG doesn't need any pasteurization. Bucket tek or sterilization. What ever you want. Adding any sort of compost or coffee will require a pasteurization.

I've never needed to spawn quick and clean.. I don't even wear gloves. I never sanitize my tubs/trays either. But this is all because I'm extremely ocd with my agar and spawn. 99% of contaminations, especially with CVG is from unclean, unhealthy spawn. Btw having colonized spawn doesn't mean it's clean spawn..
