Yes, wow, nice shots Alan:)
So many different bioluminescent Mycena species, it's astounding. I notice some of the images are of a normal exposure either with flash or natural light but the bioluminescence is still noticeable, can you see them glowing in daylight or is there some camera trickery going on? ...also, one of those Mycena looks like the stipe is glowing red, what's the story there? I really like the photos of the scenery there, it's beautiful, one day I'll be there

I love the Mycena stylobates. My wife was in the shower, and I carried my laptop into the bathroom to show her!
Inski: we'll see you there. This is definitely on our bucket list.

30 second exposure with a couple seconds of LED light. The LED is moving in a big arc so it doesn't cast a shadow.

Alonso has a red LED headlamp that he uses to look at things without ruining his night vision. I didn't tell him I was taking that photo so it was shining around randomly.

Ah yes, they are really effective, I've also used LED lights like that to eliminate shadows, it works well.
I really like that one with Alonso's red headlight, did he see that shot?

Yes, he goes through my observations on Mushroom Observer and we were hanging out as I edited the photos.
Today we are going to Arroyo Seco, just above Xico. Hunting for 5 hours or so if it rains in the afternoon, and if not until about 4am.

No, I have never seen any cartels. I have heard rumors that they exist, but the problems are in the cities / borders and I am pretty much always out in the middle of the woods.

Cool pictures. Love the ones with the Milky Way. Could you see it in real time or did you have to use a longer exposure?

I could see it in real time like that, but to get a good picture without too much noise I used a tripod and kept the shutter open for a few seconds.
If you keep the shutter open for like 20 seconds you can take good pictures of things with star light.

That's really cool. I'm sure it can be seen in some places in England, but I've not been to any of them.
