Since you haven't yet made a flow hood, I wonder if you should make a flow box instead. Its essentially a SAB like box, much bigger, with constant or burst flow.
Burst flow would clean the box to be used as a SAB. You can use flow for other type of purposes.

I did a quick search and I might consider, but in the end I want to make a flow hood. Any tips about the heppa filter and blower?

Okay guys, but the question was if that filter even though it's 99.97 will work for a flowhood.

I would be looking for a 99.99% ,you can get a filter less than 6" to save some weight.

Ideally 99.99 is what we want, but I and a bunch of others run a 99.97 filter and they work great, no issues, however if I had a choice at the time I would have opted for a 99.99 filter just for peace of mind.
As far as the fan, you have to look at the specs of the fan and filter and match them according to the guides put out on flowhoods, do a search in the search bar.

This is the exact filter I use in my hood.
http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/36-x-24-x-58-micron-filter.html
Flowhoods do take some math to build but you don't have to be ultra precise because good filters help regulate and promote a good laminar flow.
They also have smaller filters on their website and fans that you can buy to match the filter. Go read up on the size of the box that is needed to house that filter.

This is the exact blower I use. Btw dayton blowers are some of the best.
http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/universal-blower-1040-cfm-8-sp.html
You need to do some research on static pressure so you can get an idea on the size of the required box. There are some good resources you can google.
.3 micron is fine. As long as it says 99.99%. I have extremely low contamination rates. The filter is extremely good. Fungi.com is Paul Stamets company. They know their shit. Also the filter is medical grade and its 5 inches thick. Its the real deal.
I know its pricey but you get what you pay for.

Dont buy a blower from them. Find a hvac company that sells fans. I got my 600 cfm dayton blower for around $180 shipped, fungi perfecti is just buying them from a supplier and marking the crap up on them.

grainger is another proxy service. Here is a good example of a blower from a hvac online warehouse. I use this on my 22x45 flowhood and have 138-180 FPM flow.
