Habitat: Northeast Missouri, Mulch
Gills: Tan cap, brown gills, tan/white stem
Stem: Thin stem
Cap: Somewhat convex
Spore print color: ?
Bruising: Turns dark when pinched.
Other information: Found in mulch in a fairly public area. Someone please let me know what these are, I have no experience, and it's actually really hard for me just to even navigate through this site, I feel like banging my head on a wall but yea anyways someone help by giving me an idea of what strain this might be, or let me know of some strains that grow here near st.Louis that would be psychoactive.

Take spore prints. What was the substrate? Grass?

Conocybe never have gills this dark brown in color because the spores are rusty orange. This is Psathyrella, something close to http://www.mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Psathyrella_corrugis.html.
They are edible, but without a skilled chef won't be amazing in any way.

The closest thing I got to a spore print, it leaves a dark brown almost black print. Also as I said it was found in mulch and the stem I pinched yesterday now looks all rotted from where I pinched down and turned black.
