I think true gratitude is the path to 'god'. I found this in my own moments of connection, but in thinking about them after, it struck me that we're programmed to 'ask' things of god when we pray, traditionally.
AFAICS, what we've been taught by organised religion is a path that takes us away from god, not closer to it. When I feel true gratitude, the most overwhelming sense of connection runs through my being, and tears pour from my eyes. It's not something I can call upon easily, but I've been managing to reach this state about once a week for the last couple of months.
Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude. Doesn't matter what it's for, just for seeing, breathing, being here.
IME, it is key to wellbeing and spirituality.
-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

27 , high school drop out , never had a gf, have to pay rent and car payment ... and I'm starting to like my job so what ... I do landscaping 15 per HR. Odds are against me .. however I know nothing is permanent and everything could change.. just gotta find some fungi and eat at least 5g dried. I've tripped on mushrooms once before but it was a very light trip , much insight was acquired.

My car broke down this weekend as the sun was setting, a few miles away from my house. I had a big job to drive to the next day so i was feeling pretty fucked.
Instead of calling the tow company, i started wrenching on my car with the few tools I had. I managed to just barely, just barely! make it hold together. Oh my god, I drove that thing home, I couldnt believe I made it.
It was about 7:30pm, I started feverishly googling and trying to figure out the name of the part that broke. It was the tie end rod on my front axle had stripped. Well I found the part, then called auto-zone, and they fucking had 1 left of the part that I needed. I drove my super ultra sketchy barely held together car to autozone and fixed the whole damn thing in the parking lot 30 minutes before they closed. I drove away that night feeling like a fuckin BAMF. Drove to my job site the next day and made bank. I spent the rest of the weekend eating thc candy and smoking well.

Man that is so true
The other day i posted this on facebook that came to my mind(i like to think and post, as you guys see)
i wrote
"People always want what they do not have..and that karma is what keeps them from ever getting it"
I think there is a lot of truth to that
But yeah...being grateful is HUGE. The other one is "being respectful even to those who do not deserve it"
like today i was buying some coffee and this guy was being really grumpy to the cashier...the cashier and i both chose to wish this man a happy halloween and a great day when we had the right to be grumpy back. This type of thinking is what makes the world grow, In my opinion

The tankership company I work for is having two new ships built! I got selected to transfer on one of them. They're sending me to Vancouver next week to take a LNG specialization course and to Turkey in the spring to bring the ship to Canada!
I'm very happy about that! Some of the higher ups put in a good word for me and I feel appreciated! Keep at it boys! Good things to those who work hard and are patient!
Woot
XUL, I still want your news!
