Vacum Seal Bags keep getting punctured by fruits

After a few days of vacum sealing, the dry rigged edges of my fruits keep putting holes in my vacum sealed bags, letting all the air in and losing its seal.
I am using the cheap food saver bags, is there more durable bags available on the market? Can I stick the fruits in an unclosed ziplock bag first, and then stick the ziplock inside the vacum bag and seal them ?
Am thinking if I double-bag it, and I put it in an unclosed ziplock first, it will eliminate the dry rigged edges from puncturing the (outer) vacum bag, and by leaving the(inner) ziplock unclosed, the air will be sucked out of the ziplock bag as well.
Has anyone else dealt with this prob. Can I get me some advice.

I don't know what kind of bags you use but the vacuum bags I know are very durable and would not get poked by dry mushrooms.
 That's what you want.

If your vacuum seal bags are thinner than ziplock bags you're using the wrong ones. These ones work great for me.

I don't use them often but I never had problems with bags like these.
Maybe the bags are available in different thicknesses. Your idea to put them in a ziplock first should work. you also can put a layer of foil over and under the mushrooms before you seal them for extra protection.

Ive had this problem before. The ziploc bag inside the vacuum bag works. Leave the ziploc unsealed so that all the air can still be sucked out.
Youre better off with brand name Mylar bags and no vacuum seal though. Just toss in one of those Oxygen absorbers with it. They usually come with the mylar.
