Yes, Tricholoma.  I saw some very similar to these a few days ago myself.  Very grey and squat.

A bit like Tricholoma atrosquamosum but there are probably other possibilities.

Hard to say, I am not sure about that group.  Tricholoma has both edible and toxic species.
