Microdosing Mushrooms and Menstrual Cycle?

Hi there. This is my first time posting. Been scouring the interwebz for insight on this matter but haven't overturned much - maybe someone here has a personal account?
I'm curious if any women who have microdosed or used mushies with some regularity have noticed any changes in their menstrual cycles? And if so, what kinds of changes?
I'm gearing up to start microdosing for OCD/anxiety/depression anyway, but it would be a really sweet bonus to find that my cycles begin to resemble hell less, too. I'll find out on my own soon enough, but if anyone has any insight I'd love to hear it.
Thank you

I don't see why it couldn't help the emotional side of pms.

If so, by what mechanism, you think? KWIM? Because if shrooms have some efficacy in bringing hormones more into balance like they seem to have with brain chemistry, then it stands to reason that they could help alleviate physical symptoms of the hormone changes as well. This gives me a new angle to try to research, thank you!

A body under less stress functions more coherently. Mindfulness Practice increasing the positive effect of the flu jag is a good example of this. Ive been micro and mini dosing for a few months. The change i noticed so far was an intense body experience simultaneously coming up and starting bleeding! Will report back next month!

Thank you so much for sharing! What little I've been able to find on the subject has supported what you describe - seems like a purging effect that comes with the territory, like how vomiting and diarrhea are fairly common . I'll be very curious to hear more about your experience - menstrual and otherwise.

Yeah i did notice at the beginning of the season everything was clearing out. All that plus runny nose and productive cough. Thats all done now.
Its was a funny experience. I had just cycled up the hill. I wasn't aware my bleed was as imminent. I came up listening to a tantra book. It was all very metaphorical the trip. Shakti birthing the universe. I had some codiene in my rucksack so took that which cured both the pain and the desire to scream and cry. Most trips ive just let what was to be, just be. But i couldnt be arsed with the pain on the walk up.
Ill keep an eye out if my emotions are better regulated leading up to the next one. Be lovely if a happier heart lead to better hormonal control which led to less water retention!
Are you growing your own?
Ive been taking between 1 and 4 libs for a micro dose and between 15 and 35 for a little trip.
Been very helpful for exposure to difficult emotions and memories, allowed greater perspective, insite, and openness. That has been interesting when i have micro dosed before psychotherapy.
On the down side ive crashed my bike a few times.
Tollerance builds fast too.
Im sure the exercise and fresh air/day light involved in picking libs has improved seratonin, dopamine and BDNF levels.

Very cool, thanks for your response. I am growing my own, pftek GTs, incubating just over a week and looking good. I'm currently on birth control pills in an attempt to try to make my cycles easier to manage (it has worked in the past) but these last 2 cycles haven't been without their share of pain unfortunately, I would love to just quit the pharma all together if I could because I know hormonal contraception has it's own downfalls, it really just became a lesser-of-two-evils decision to go back on them. Hoping for a system reboot with the microdosing, I'm beyond excited!

Have you seen a obgyn in reference to this? Pain and heavy flows can equate to endometriosis or polycystic ovarian.. I cannot recommend Vitex(chasteberry) enough. But check to be sure there are no interactions with your BC.
Cramp bark works amazingly.. purchase loose from a reputable herbalist and brew as tea.
Dong quai can help regulate hormones, but if you're using birth control it will certainly make things worse.

Thank you, sorry I forgot to check back. My midwife has been working with me about the my periods, iron and magnesium are helping. I used vitex in my luteal phase when trying to conceive in the past, I had forgotten about it, I'll have to look into it again, thank you!

I noticed the day my period was trying to start i was much more aware of the downward pull in my body. maybe it was just flashbacks. My energy fall downward.
I wasnt too crazy leading up to it. Dindt micro dose i was working. the day i started i had had wine the night before so i gubbed four codiene, two mushrooms and two pints of coffee and got on my way

How would mushrooms help with the cycle? You should be eliminating foods from your diet not adding to it.
