Yeah I am insanely lucky to have a job and life that allows me to train for hours a day. Allows me to progress rapidly. I have decided to make martial arts my top focus for the next ten years.

I think the chucks would make you more tight and flex certain muscles that are finer. Might improve reaction time. So one wouldn't have to have them on themselves to benefit from the training.

Yes you would benefit for sure, just not as much as if you spent the same amount of time working on unarmed skills. But any martial arts, with weapons or without, are amazing. Best hobby you can have IMO.
Going to 2.5 hours of classes back to back at the local MMA gym. Boxing and no Gi jujitsu tonight. Fucking Stoked!
Already been working out though so I need to rest now so I dont burn out. Large amounts of cannabutter should help

No we are talking about chucking nuns for fucking fun, not whacking yourself in the balls with two floppy sticks on a rope.

I technically have the time, but I'd rather spend it elsewhere
Still, training isn't far down the list of things I enjoy, just need longer days

They're called Nunchaku and the sport is known as Nunchaku-do. Its been a long time since I swirled them, I threw mine away. I made an all steep pipe nunchaku of he purpose of cracking coconuts. I actually demolished my old toilet with it so the pieces fit in my garbage bin.
For practice I used one made out of two rigid pieces of garden hose. Still quite painful but not bone-smashing.
1ft handles, a hand's width of cord or chain in between, hardly rocket science, but it has to be very sturdy.

LOL, I made some out of an old broomstick, one of those old school backyard swingset chains, and some roofing nails when I was a wee lad.
