So I got the afternoon off, and went to an ancient woods near me, I kept to paths and tracks. I took lots of images, but my main aim was to identify a possible wild Reishi.
Current environment: 12-14°C, 70-74% humidity, 6 mph wind.
Here is the possible Reishi and maybe Turkey Tail.

Here is an Imgur gallery of today's images.

Interesting note, I recently found a little reishi(maybe reishi) on a tree stump in my back yard which is really weird because I live in the south west desert in the US, after looking at it more I realized it popped up during our short summer monsoon season and then dried up and died, upon further inspection from this stump I found lots more tiny dried hard as a rock fruits all around, I can see that this stump tries to fruit reishi every summer, they literally only grow about the size of a quarter and die. I will get a picture of one of them today.

I left everything undisturbed for confirmation first. Can try cloning any I found. Make sure you checked the Imgur galley, theres 12 images in total.
I like the apparent high yield of the bright yellow ones. The purples ones have purple mycelium.

Yellow ones: Hypholoma fasciculare (poisonous).
Purple ones: Laccaria amethystina (edible). Turkey tail: Trametes versicolor (edible). Reishi: Ganoderma species (edible).

I found some wild Summer oyster (Pleurotus pulmonarius) today growing at 4°C, 80% humidity. The lilac-brown tells me it's Summer oyster, but it could be another type of oyster.

I have taken fruits to clone, I will be using enriched paper.

Or 39.2°F, growing on poplar (cottonwood). Pleurotus pulmonarius is very adaptive, both fruiting range, and diet. The fruits are very strong, dense and heavy. Unfortunately I had no knife and had to pull, very hard.
I found them by mistake passing through a public park (playing fields).

I have taken tissues samples of the biggest fruit, I have setup 3 different methods. WL-Tek, WL-Tek LC and I also stuck some toothpicks into the fruit.

Thats awesome! Im growing some phoenix oysters on straw and alfalfa logs currently. Youll find that the mycelium is an aggressive colonizer

Its the most aggressive, and fastest colonizer I have ever grown. I had some (UK) vendor rye grain spawn not very long ago. I still have the original images, so here is Summer oyster at 12 hours and then 24 hours after assembly on WL-Tek.

The issue: Adding liquid seaweed, which contains several cellulose loving bacteria. Interestingly they don't compete very much, until there's lots of air.

Sure I can sort some samples. All I need now, is to find some random Tarragon oyster.

I would prefer to do my toothpick method, here. I sent Mattisfat a KO sample on a peg, worked like a charm, here. He was having the same issue I do with vendors and contaminated spawn, I had a few pegs left.
Now he has a prolific grow going, from a strong isolate on wood, here.
