I'm pretty sure this is an oyster cluster I just want to be sure. THANK YOU.
Habitat:
found near southern oregon coast growing on a fallen conifer tree


Stem:
almost no stem the gills reach almost all the way down to base

Cap:
~4-6 inches in diameter with unrolled edges looks whiter than the picture shows

Spore print color:

They certainly look to be but Pl. ostreatus never (almost never, depending on who you ask) grows on conifers.

They may in fact be pleurocybella which smell insipid, taste likewise and are associated fairly or not (they are probably generally safe) with outbreaksof lifethreatening illness.

my first thought was that they were angel wings but they seemed to big. Sadly I have some mild kidney issues so I'm not sure I should risk it. it was a good hike anyways saw some beautiful giant salamanders
