Would the shroomery community ever adopt children?
    #23761074 - 10/22/16 02:10 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Just a harmless question

Will this turn into a heated debate?

Why or why not? I say yes. A decent home is better then no home

Yes, I would.  If I met a girl and she had a kid, and things went well and she asked me to adopt I would.  I would only do so if the girl and I fit like two peas in a pod though, this way it wouldn't put the child through hell with our disagreements.

If I adopted on my own for some reason, which I don't think I would, I would only do so if I could care for that child properly, give it all it needed, proper food, shelter, clothes, of course this is obvious but just felt like it should be said.

I would probably adopt from a different country though, would be nice to take a kid that came from some less than fortunate place, and give them the boost they needed to have a proper life.

The shroomery adopted me and gave me nothing but a hard time.

Pris has a great point.

Drug subculture should be an excellent place for fostering children.  Can't believe nobody brought this up before...

Nah, and women with fatherless kids are best avoided. Shows a lack of intelligence and ability to plan.

If I were ever to be gay (which im not) I would have gay sex with my partner all day, but than instead of adopting, Find a lovely soul that we could impregnate and take the baby kid in for our own. (not gay)

I would under the right circumstances. Kids deserve good homes/families, and many don't get that. That's something I could provide.

I feel like I did in a way.

I'm helping raise a 1, 3, and 8 year old.
Or, at least doing the best I can by taking them
into my home and trying to be a positive male role model.

If I have a daughter in the near future, which I would like,
and could afford to adopt a child a few years after that,
I'm pretty sure I would...will.

Sometimes.

Sometimes fathers are just assholes who run away.

Not that I really want to but if it was to improve the life of the child then yeah.  I'm not sure I'm ready for it but I think I could and would adjust.

But what would I do with the kid during an L trip that lasts for 12 hours?  Slip them a mickey and keep them under the sink?  Seems like the responsible thing to do.

I would adopt a "younger brother" of sorts off the streets if I saw they had potential and just caught a rough break. You know, let them crash with me for a bit while trying to find them a job and whatnot. I actually did this for one of my old JROTC buddies who is a brilliant coder but came from a really abusive family, I helped set him up with a small website development and consulting business in denver and we're pretty much brothers at this point.

I think it's one of the most fulfilling things you can do... you know, to help get someone else's life back on track and help them become a functional member of society.

As far as adopting actual children goes, maybe in the distant future where I don't have to worry about money for the rest of my life.

Get a babysitter and go out in nature. Without the kids. That's what we've been doing, anyways.

I don't know if I could trip balls at home knowing one of the kids may wake up needing something, and I can't tend to them if it's important.

That doesn't sound consensual. The adopting of, or the inevitable sex you will have with said Vietnamese girl.

I mean, you could actually go to Vietnam. Beautiful country, I hear. And most likely if you're a nice enough old dude with a couple dollars in your bank account, as you seem to be, you'll receive a lot of marriage proposals from young Vietnamese women's parents.

Make sure you slurp your noodles as well as the pussy.

It's considered polite to physically slurp noodles in some parts of asia, and I'm assuming the other entendre is a reference to oral sex.

If you don't mind me asking, are all those kids from one girl because damn, what happened to her?

If not, you're working towards setting up a kn0nik0 franchise.

Well, when you put it that way, it sounds beautiful.

But yes, that's what I meant.

Yes. The same mother.
Different fathers. Me not being one of them.

I just figure they can work the farm once it's set up.
Simple logistics and finance. lol.
