Is it just mycellium, and what causes it?
(sorry for the poor pics)

The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.

I've seen that happen to me. My theory (therefore I could be talking outta my ass) is that this kinda cap deformation is caused by pools of water on the surface when the pin was just primordia. But again, that's only what my guts tell me...

Weird ass shit FC you got there Candela

My preference..Its just Black buckets!
Clear totes cause way too much side pinning.

Nice, have you asked your shrooms if they like your "preference"?

Clear totes don't cause side pinning. Conditions being not as good on the top as they are on the sides causes side pins.

Clear tubs, sometimes no liner even

Thanks foy your input.

I like taking small 3.5 gallon black buckets and using black duct tape over the holes.  I then put everything inside (sub/spawn), and put the lid on.  I can easily stack them on top of one another , away in a small corner and let it colonize.  Very concealable and no visitors can see inside of them.

Like I stated, Blackies are my preference.
