Are these panaeolus cinctulus?
    #23758977 - 10/21/16 07:38 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Found these growing in a plush new lawn today. There were quite a few of them but I just took these for the heck of it. I don't have a full spore print yet, but they look dark. Thanks

Looks plausible. If the print turns out to be jet black (not purply or browny), then I'd say that they probably are.

Probably, I can't rule out some other species such as P. olivaceus or P. fimicola, but as far as edibility is concerned it does not make a difference. You can tell they will have jet black spores by the color of the mature gills here, which are black rather than dark brown. A spore print would be clearer.
