The reason I ask is because the only major problems I can see from a consumer's perspective are:
(1) Increase in price of medical marijuana (2) Decreased cultivation allowance for medical growers
...But seeing as the AUMA allegedly doesn't conflict with Compassionate Use Act, I guess #2 shouldn't be much of a problem.

What you WILL see an increase in is low-grade product, as there has been in Colorado and Washington. Buncha Snicklefritz.

Why would that be?
I was in Colorado a couple months ago and the opposite appeared to be true. High grade product everywhere, and everyone was giving it away for free.

The people I know who are in the industry and travel state to state attending cannabis events all agree the legal states are selling a lot of mid-grade as top shelf. Yes there are still plenty of awesome growers in each state, but there are new large-scale growers who are flooding the market with mediocre product.
I'm not saying they are like McDonalds bad, more like they are making Red Robin burgers while California is on that 100% grass fed best-damn-burger-you-have-ever-tasted-in-your-life level.

Maybe not including Oregon, they have always held their own and kept it low-key.

Oh my god, that photo is terrifying.
I have never heard of this lady but she is definitely right about the cultivation part, most residents will be limited to indoor only. And some localities will likely ban cultivation outright. However, like we've said, cities/counties already have similar power with medical growing so it's not much of a change. I'm just saying this idea that we are all guaranteed 6 outdoor plants isn't true.
And I have to go back to the fact that we are already allowed an ounce right now, this is not an improvement. So what happens if you have over an ounce of this "legal" weed?
Edit: I am trying to find out.

It took about a year for prices in Washington state to fall back down to street level after I-502 passed, which was our recreational marijuana law.
Where I'm from, we watched medical marijuana folks kick and scream their whole way through legalization, and I now we don't have to buy from them, saving time and paying taxes all the while.
Sure, marijuana has medical properties. It can be used as medicine. During prohibition in Canada, they passed laws allowing MEDICINAL use of alcohol.
An ounce for me would be 1-2 weeks of smoke and I put most people I know under the table. You don't walk around with ounces unless you are selling, and if you are selling anything (especially a habit forming drug) you should at least be taxed and regulated.

Oh well. Some myths die harder than others.
ugh can these people just take two fucking seconds to educate themselves.
Plenty of mainstream media are reporting the benefits of psychedelics and the increase in promising research, I am certain these people must be poorly educated or informed.

I do remember that now, haha. Love Tool, love Bill Hicks.
But I also love Ram Das. Imho, Be Here Know is one of the cooler "new age" books that came out of the 60's. But back when he was Richard Alpert he jumped out a window while hella high. idk, I try to err on the side of caution with L and shrooms to maximize good times.

Possession of over an ounce is currently a felony and if prop 64 passes it will turn into a misdemeanor. While technically you can go to jail for a misdemeanor, in practice you would have to curse out the judge to get any jail time for a low level misdemeanor like that.

An ounce is not very much, I travel with that much pretty frequently. I don't sell weed. As far as concentrates go, 8 grams is nothing.

I can't get over how silly of a comment that is. You're telling me I can't go on vacation, like a 2 week long mushroom hunting/camping trip and carry more than an ounce with me? That if I do I am most likely a drug dealer trying to get people hooked on my product? Fucking
It's like Reefer Madness on the Shroomery.

the whole argument that psychedelics are dangerous because you can jump out of a window therefore you should never used them under any circumstances just seems completely unfair to me.
It has been proven to be entirely safe under proper clinical settings which includes security people to watch you.
Yes unsupervised psychedelic use on the rare occasion could be dangerous for certain people but that is just a part of life. a lot of fun activities are not without some risk. riding a bike carries risk, working out in the gym carries risk. Id argue these activities are more dangerous than psychedelic use.
