100% colonization, next step.

Okay so I know there is many teks to choose from and I already have everything for the SGFC setup. My question is, when transferring to bulk substrate is it necessary for a dunk and roll method if both substrates already have the correct moisture levels?

Dunk and roll is for cakes. You generally don't need to do this with bulk before the first flush. You could add spawn to coir and vermiculite at a 70/30 ratio with a couple handfuls of gypsum. Case it to help with surface moisture.

Thanks a lot! Notes taken! In the second picture far left bag there are a few dark specs on the bag, I believe it is just the rye grain but also got a bit nervous it could be the start to a contam. Are you able to tell one way or another what that could be based on the picture?

Doesn't look like anything to worry about. I would get all these mixed with some bulk as soon as humanly possible, let that colonize, and fruit when it's ready.
Make sure to properly pasteurize your substrate or at least follow the bucket tek or oven tek if you're going to be using coir. Wouldn't wanna waste all that hard work by introducing bulk with trich in it.

Okay, I'll do that tonight. Bulk substrate is sterilized and ready to go. Only problem is I need to make the casing. Do you recommend adding casing layer immediately or incubating first for 5 days to colonize then case and fruit? Thanks again!!

It's a matter of preference really, but I usually mix with bulk, then add a thin casing layer of the same substrate as soon as I'm done mixing. Sometimes the Myc can overtake the casing layer quickly, so if you don't want to that to happen, just case after 100% and colonize the casing until it's patchy and at about 30%. Then put in fruiting conditions. Honestly though I see very little difference as I've done it both ways. Both work well.
Sometimes also, you don't even need to case. I usually do help with surface moisture but like I said, it is a matter of preference and can be done with no casing at all.
