Hey everyone i searched up some mini mono teks and can't seem to pick one they all seem favorable and easy to build . Would anybody recommend a easy mini mono tek with building instructions and experience with it i like pasty's 30qt tub but i am confused on the build instructions. Any help is surely appreciated.

I actually use a mini, but I really like using a full size mono with shoebox tubs in tub. It works well with 2 shoebox tubs at a time, and you can colonize your sub in any number of shoebox tubs with the lid on (it gives plenty of gas exchange), and when it's done, pop it in your mono and mist it pretty heavily, and leave it alone.
At times, I can be fruiting 3-6 shoeboxes at a time, rotating in the monos over the course of their flushes.

I plan to do a full 66 qt mono tub when i get a bigger pc for now I can only cook around 3 qts at a time and have never done a mono i think doing a small one will help me understand a big one how do you build your mini monos you said you were doing one Quote:

This help?

The holes are a little too high in this example. Build yours more level with the substrate.

It is a good idea to start with a small monotub. The loss of a 66 qt mono feels bad. With a small PC you need a lot of time and work. Mini monos are nice. Sometimes i use small monotubs to test new strains. But I still prefer small trays in my fruiting chamber over mini monotubs for testing purposes.
If I use small tubs i make them like Mushierage posted. Maybe with a little less polyfill

This helped me amazingly mushierage thank you. How many inches apart are the two holes on each long side of the tub and how big are they 1.25'? enlightenment what do mean by too much polyfil is it just too much material or too many holes?

I just overused the poly. It was a quick hack job for me. What matters is being able to get maximum FAE without sacrificing humidity too much.
I don't use exact measurements, I just place the holes evenly over the middle of the subtrate. Level with it, just above. I use 1.75 inch holes. 2 holes on each long side, and one holes on each short side in the middle near the top.
Pack top holes very loosely, and the bottom ones a bit tighter. This will bring air through the top holes, spread evenly over the substrate, and exit the 4 bottom holes for constant passive airflow.

This tub is only 1.4litres, might be useful for tests.

I love these 20qt sized ones. I made 8 of each design (regular and hybrid) based on Pastywhyte's tek.

I used the standard hole config in a Sterilite 27qt. I skipped the casing layer my first try, next time I am going with the casing so I don't need to mist so often.

Well I'm going to be making the 20 qt hybrid from pasty's tek. Hopefully I won't have to mist as much by taping some of the 5 holes and adjusting polyfil. I don't mind misting though I'm going to be doing two of these one with casing one without wish me luck everyone

I don't mind misting either but having a dedicated humidifier would be such a help.
