Gymnopilus Luteus? Safe to consume?

Sorry for all of the consecutive Gymnopilus requests, but despite that I'm confident in my ID ability, I always feel its best to get a second opinion before I allow anyone to consume anything I find. Thanks again to everyone for taking the time, and I hope that I provide as much help to this community as you do to me.
There are more than these pictured here, but all were found on the same log and I am 100% sure they are all the same species.
The stipes were thin an long whilst they were still attached (some had to be cut off before the pictures were taken)
The odor was reminiscent of licorice, and matched that of my other luteus collections.
No bruising is evident yet.
I haven't taken a spore print yet but the deposits here are pretty clear with regard to color, and the photos are true to life.

Luteus is active and i think thats what you have, they look just like big laughing gyms, could probably call them small laughing gyms.

Thanks for the help!
I've seen different estimates for dosage with this species, so if anyone with experience knows a somewhat accurate estimate for dosage, I would be very interested (I know gym dosages are notoriously undocumented and that they are known for variability with regard to potency so I wouldn't be surprised if no one can answer this well)
The estimates I've been able to find usually say a 40 gram wet dose is good for a level 2-3 trip, though they vary a lot. One of my friends (actually a friend, not a half-assed attempt at trying to avoid incrimination) plans to take this much. Is this advisable for someone with a few experiences with psychedelics?

15 grams dried using a lemon tea tek, I found through the search, was a very enjoyable experience for me. Mine were luteofolius though.

Pyrolight, your high regard to safety is highly respected around here. Don't ever feel bad for asking for help around here. That's what it's about in this ID thread. Ask any and all questions you may have.
