The man won a Nobel prize in economics and based on this book, he's officially a genius.
Essentially he explains how everything we perceive and how we act is based on the subtlies of the environment you live in without you being aware of it. Essentially it's economic psychology.
The concepts he brings up are so relevant to real life, especially when people argue about whatever. The willful blindness to facts, trusting your snap intuition instead of the math and facts. He explains how even when explained, people still choose to believe the false thing... Does that remind you of any member of this website???
It's so interesting to read. The guy brings up all sorts of experiment that have been done in controlled and uncontrolled environments on human behavior and decision process. I can go as far as to say that if you apply all these concepts that he brings up, you could essentially increase your chances in life dramatically. It's far from mind controlling others but it's strong, imperceptible suggestions and cues that increases the odds of somehow acting a certain unconsciously.
If you have a business and want ideas on what you can do to increase the chances of being successful. Read this book. If your a student that wants better grades, read this book. It's fucking amazing.

I'm reading The Black Swan by Taleb which mentions Kahneman, because if Donald Trump wins it will be called the biggest Black Swan in American history. If somebody says, but he's not going to win! ..That is what is meant by the Black Swan.
